| The course is open to students who meet the following minimum requirements: |

Academic |
||
| Applicants need to produce evidence of one of the following: | ||
| NCEA (Level 3) with achievement standards that meet the numeracy and literacy requirements and shall include approved subjects; or | ||
| An overseas academic qualification equivalent to or higher than those for entry in a New Zealand university foundation programme. |

English Language |

| Applicants need to show evidence of the following: | ||
| An English language proficiency equivalent to an academic IELTS band score of 5.0; or | ||
| An English language qualification equivalent to the above and subject to a Canterbury Link Entry Examination. | ||
